Specifying a part
Three buying questions we get most: clutch, tractor parts, and construction machinery parts. Answers are what sales needs on the first email.
How do I specify a replacement clutch?
Measure the old clutch — lining diameter, spline count and diameter, cover load or pressure-plate type, and whether actuation is mechanical or hydraulic. Send those figures with the machine make/model or the OEM number. A similar cover photo is not a fit. The clutch selection guide walks through the same checks.
What should I send to get a tractor parts quote?
Send the SEROC SKU if you have it, otherwise the OEM number on the old part, plus tractor make, model and quantity. If the stamp is gone, say which system it belongs to (engine, filtration, bearings) and attach a photo of the mark area. There is no webshop checkout — sales quote that enquiry.
How do I identify a construction wear or hydraulic part?
Copy duty, media and the stamp on the worn piece before you order. For valves include size, actuation and what the valve handles. For undercarriage or ground-engaging parts include machine make/model and the worn-part dimensions. A close visual match is not enough.
Is the machine model enough, or do I need an OEM number?
Make and model help us shortlist. The OEM number or the dimensions on the old part confirm the line. The same model name can cover several years with different parts. If you only have make/model, we may ask for a stamp photo or a parts-book reference before quoting.
Can I order from a photo of the old part?
A photo helps when the stamp is readable. It is not enough on its own for clutch spline and lining, or for hydraulic ports. Send the photo with measurements, OEM number, or make/model.
How do I look up parts by machine make and model?
Use Model search, or open a parts-for page when we already list compatible products. Fitment shown on a product page is the public reference for that SKU.
